U organizaciji Kajak kanu kluba Matija Ljubek, Grada Zagreba i Kajakaškog saveza Zagreb 8. svibnja s početkom u 10 sati na RSC Jarun održat će se Otvoreno prvenstvo Grada Zagreba u kajaku i kanuu na mirnim vodama i 19. Međunarodna memorijalna regata Matija Ljubek 2021.
Usprkos pandemijskoj krizi, na Jarunu se očekuje sudjelovanje 100-njak sportaša u svim dobnim kategorijama iz Hrvatske i drugih europskih zemalja.
Natjecanje se već tradicionalno, održava u spomen na Matiju Ljubeka, najtrofejnijeg hrvatskog kanuista i jednog od najuspješnijih hrvatskih sportaša uopće.
