Održana edukacija pod nazivom „Komunikacijske vještine u radu s tražiteljima međunarodne zaštite, osobama pod međunarodnom i privremenom zaštitom i stranim radnicima“

U četvrtak, 13. ožujka 2025. godine, od 9:00 do 13:00 sati u prostorijama Centra dobrodošlice održana je edukacija pod nazivom „Komunikacijske vještine u radu s tražiteljima međunarodne zaštite, osobama pod međunarodnom i privremenom zaštitom i stranim radnicima “, u organizaciji Médecins du Monde ASBL - Dokters van Wereld VZW uz podršku Grada Zagreba.
Na edukaciji je Antoana Silov, magistra psihologije s iskustvom u području mentalnog zdravlja i rada s osobama u migracijama te voditeljica programa migracija za Médecins du Monde ASBL - Dokters van Wereld VZW, okupljenim djelatnicima Grada Zagreba kroz radionice, igre, teoretski i praktični dio te obiljem osobnog iskustva približila tematiku susreta s  tražiteljima međunarodne zaštite, osobama pod međunarodnom i privremenom zaštitom i stranim radnicima. Obrađene su vrlo aktualne teme mentalnog zdravlja osoba u migracijama, pristupa osjetljivog na znakove psihološke traume, komunikacijskih vještina u radu s osobama u migracijama, upravljanja očekivanjima korisnika i deeskalacije konflikata te kulturalne osjetljivost u radu s osobama u migracijama. Ovo je tematika korisna u svim područjima djelovanja, a posebice pospješuje kompetencije djelatnika za rad u Centru dobrodošlice.
Na edukaciji su bili prisutni zaposlenici Gradskog ureda za kulturu i civilno društvo i Gradskog ureda za obrazovanje, sport i mlade.
Zahvaljujemo svima prisutnima te se nadamo kako je ovo tek prva od edukacija u Centru dobrodošlice koje će povećati znanja zaposlenika Grada Zagreba kako bi svaka osoba u potrebi mogla dobiti savjet i pomoć koju zaslužuje.
 

On Thursday, 13 March 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., a training session entitled “Communication Skills in Working with Applicants for International Protection, Persons Granted International or Temporary Protection, and Foreign Workers” was held at the premises of the Welcome Centre, organised by Médecins du Monde ASBL – Dokters van Wereld VZW, with the support of the City of Zagreb.

During the training, Antoana Silov, MA in Psychology, with experience in the field of mental health and working with people in migration, and Head of the Migration Programme at Médecins du Monde ASBL – Dokters van Wereld VZW, introduced City of Zagreb staff to the topic of working with applicants for international protection, persons granted international or temporary protection, and foreign workers. Through workshops, interactive exercises, theoretical and practical sessions, and extensive first-hand experience, she provided participants with practical insights into the challenges and specific aspects of working with people in migration.

The training covered highly relevant topics, including mental health of people in migration, a trauma-informed approach, communication skills when working with people in migration, managing users’ expectations, conflict de-escalation, and cultural sensitivity when working with people in migration. These topics are relevant across a wide range of professional settings and are particularly valuable in strengthening the competencies of staff working at the Welcome Centre.

The training was attended by employees of the City Office for Culture and Civil Society and the City Office for Education, Sport and Youth.

We would like to thank all participants and express our hope that this was only the first in a series of training sessions at the Welcome Centre aimed at strengthening the knowledge and skills of City of Zagreb staff, so that every person in need can receive the advice and assistance they deserve.
