Međunarodni ITF-ov turnir Zagreb Ladies Open održat će se od 25. travnja do 2. svibnja 2021. godine na terenima TC Maksimir. Dvanaesto izdanje teniskog turnira okupit će 60 tenisačica koje će se boriti za ukupni nagradni fond od $60.000. U Zagrebu će zaigrati tenisačice iz više od 40 zemalja svijeta, a među njima i aktualna pobjednica, hrvatska tenisačica Ana Konjuh.
Zagreb Ladies Open najjači je turnir u seriji Croatian Tennis Pro Tournaments u sklopu koje će se ovog proljeća u devet hrvatskih gradova održati čak deset profesionalnih turnira. Ova serija dio je inicijative Hrvatskog teniskog saveza kojom se nastoji omogućiti našim mladim tenisačima skupljanje bodova i iskustva na domaćim terenima.
Unatoč izazovima pandemijske godine, Zagreb Ladies Open ponovno će naš glavni grad ucrtati na teniske karte svijeta. Turnir se održava uz podršku Grada Zagreba i Gradskog ureda za sport i mlade.
Grad Zagreb je uvijek bio dobar domaćin raznih sportskih priredbi, a posebno smo ponosni na kontinuitet Zagreb Ladies Open turnira. Organizatorima sve čestitke i zahvale što u ovim okolnostima pandemije u Zagreb dovode vrhunski tenis. Vjerujem da će tenisačice otići s najboljim uspomenama na Zagreb i ostvariti dobar rezultat! – izjavio je pročelnik Gradskog ureda za sport i mlade Milan Pavelić.
Turnir počinje kvalifikacijama u nedjelju, a prva kola u pojedinačnoj konkurenciji i parova počinju u utorak. Finale parova je u subotu, a pojedinačne konkurencije je u nedjelju u 14 sati. Mečeve će prenositi live stream koji je moguće pratiti na društvenim mrežama Hrvatskog teniskog saveza, a finalni susret prenosit će se uživo na Drugom programu HTV-a.
