Europski tjedan sporta (ETS) inicijativa je Europske komisije za promicanje sporta i tjelesne aktivnosti pokrenut 2015. godine diljem Europe kao odgovor na sve veću tjelesnu neaktivnost europskih građana.
Ministarstvo turizma i sporta kao nacionalno koordinacijsko tijelo pod sloganom #BeActive redovito potiče javnost da budu aktivni tijekom cijele godine, a ne samo tijekom tog tjedna. Europski tjedan sporta osmišljen je kako bi ljude diljem Europe i svijeta motivirao i pružao im više mogućnosti za tjelesnu aktivnost s ciljem podizanja svijesti o važnosti aktivnog način života kod svakog građana.
Ovogodišnji Europski tjedan sporta održava se od 23. do 30. rujna 2024. godine, a u okviru njega obilježava se i Školski dan (27. rujna). Cilj Školskog dana je promicanje tjelesne aktivnosti i zdravlja među učenicima. Školski sportski savez Grada Zagreba obilježio je Europski tjedan sporta i Školski dan organizacijom turnira u košarci 3x3 za djevojke i mladiće srednjih škola.
Na natjecanju su nastupile slijedeće škole:
PRVA GIMNAZIJA (djevojke i mladići),
GORNJOGRADSKA GIMNAZIJA (djevojke i mladići),
DRUGA EKONOMSKA ŠKOLA (djevojke i mladići),
GEODETSKA ŠKOLA (mladići)
GIMNAZIJA TITUŠA BREZOVAČKOG (mladići).
Turnir je ujedno bio i uvod u službeno natjecanje koje će se za djevojke i mladiće srednjih škola održati početkom drugog polugodišta.
