U povodu obilježavanja obljetnice pada Vukovara, a u okviru prigodnog programa Dana sjećanja na žrtvu Vukovara i Škabrnje pod nazivom I reći ću vam samo još jednu stvar, zapamtite Vukovar, gradonačelnik Milan Bandić zapalio je svijeću u spomen na žrtve kod križanja Ulice grada Vukovara i Hrvatske bratske zajednice.
Svečani program održan je na travnatoj površini između Gradske uprave i KD Vatroslava Lisinskog gdje su zapaljeni lampaši u obliku imena grada Vukovara te križa, s velikom svijećom u sredini.
Tradicionalno, obilježavanje Dana sjećanja na žrtvu Vukovara i Škabrnje pod sloganom - I reći ću vam samo još jednu stvar ZAPAMTITE VUKOVAR organizira Klub veterana 148. brigade Hrvatske vojske u suradnji sa Savezom udruga obitelji zatočenih i nestalih hrvatskih branitelja i još 48 udruga i klubova hrvatskih branitelja iz Domovinskog rata.
