Danas je u Znanstveno-učilišnom kampusu Borongaj obilježen Dan Fakulteta prometnih znanosti Sveučilišta u Zagrebu te 30. obljetnica Zavoda za aeronautiku.
Čestitavši dekanu Marku Šoštariću, djelatnicima Fakulteta i svim studentima njihov dan, gradonačelnik Tomislav Tomašević je istaknuo da Grad Zagreb čekaju veliki prometni izazovi i transformacija prometnog sustava, posebice kada je riječ o javnom prijevozu. „Za obnovu voznog parka tramvaja i autobusa, širenja tramvajske mreže i dobre koordinacije s državnim tvrtkama poput HŽ-a, trebaju nam stručna prometna rješenja. Fakultet prometnih znanosti je glavna institucija u Hrvatskoj za razvoj prometnog sustava i ključna za tranziciju grada Zagreba na održiviji, zeleniji i raznovrsniji prometni sustav“, rekao je gradonačelnik.
Osim gradonačelnika Tomaševića i dekana Šoštarića, prisutne su pozdravili ministrica turizma i sporta Nikolina Brnjac, rektor Sveučilišta u Zagrebu Stjepan Lakušić te drugi visoki uzvanici.
