Zagrebački gradonačelnik Milan Bandić susreo se večeras u hotelu Westin s prvim predsjednikom demokratske Poljske, dobitnikom Nobelove nagrade za mir Lech Walesom koji u Hrvatskoj boravi kao glavni gost međunarodne konferencije Raspad komunizma u Europi: 20 godina kasnije.

Susret je upriličen uoči najave sutrašnje Konferencije koja će, u organizaciji Centra za obnovu kulture okupiti eminentna svjetska imena kao što su predsjednik EICEE-a grof Damian von Stauffenberg, bivši premijer Estonije Mart Laar, bivši savjetnik premijerke Margaret Tatcher Robin Harris, glavni urednik Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty John O'Sullivan te Robert de Mattei, Universitá europea iz Rima.

Na kraju srdačnog i prijateljskog razgovora, u znak sjećanja na posjet Zagrebu gradonačelnik Bandić visokome je gostu darovao zlatnik Majke božje od Kamenitih vrata, zaštitnice našega grada.
