U prostorima Zagrebačkog velesajma gradonačelnik Milan Bandić otvorio je INOVU 09, tradicionalnu nacionalnu izložbu inovacija koja se održava već 34 godine. 

Od 11. do 15. studenoga, u paviljonu 8a, izložba okuplja inovatore, kreativne unapređivače proizvodnih procesa, izumitelje i inovatore poduzetnike, ukupno 210 izlagača od čega 107 hrvatskih, 53 inozemna (Ruska federacija, VB, SAD, Francuska, Španjolska, Malezija, Rumunjska i BiH) te 50 radova mladih inovatora. 

Organizatori izložbe su Hrvatski savez inovatora i Savez inovatora Zagreba, a pod pokroviteljstvom gradonačelnika Grada Zagreba, kojemu je ovom prigodom, od Grada Čakovca, prošlogodišnjeg domaćina, predana zastava Inove.
