Grad Zagreb osigurava sredstva za pet vrsta stipendija kako bi se učenicama i učenicima, studenticama i studentima omogućio bolji i kvalitetniji pristup obrazovanju.
Stipendije doprinose povećanju broja osoba koje završavaju školovanje te broja visokoobrazovanog građanstva, omogućavaju socijalnu mobilnost i dugoročno preveniraju rizik od siromaštva i socijalne isključenosti.
Stipendija Grada Zagreba za izvrsnost (ustanovljena školske odnosno akademske godine 1992./1993.), Stipendija Grada Zagreba za učenike i studente koji se obrazuju za deficitarna zanimanja (ustanovljena školske odnosno akademske godine 2003./2004.), Stipendija Grada Zagreba za učenike i studente s invaliditetom te Stipendija Grada Zagreba za učenike i studente na temelju socioekonomskog statusa (ustanovljena školske odnosno akademske godine 2007./2008.) te Stipendija Grada Zagreba za učenike i studente pripadnike romske nacionalne manjine (ustanovljena školske odnosno akademske godine 2012./2013.)
Mjesečno Stipendija iznosi 2.700,00 kuna neto za učenice i učenike i 3.800,00 kuna neto za studentice, odnosno studente.
